tfw you're qualified for the job but what you really mean is that you could qualify getting the job

for some reason i keep having to do like a double or triple-take at bags sitting around my house, thinking they're my cats

old navy bags looks like the black and white cat we have

the gray backpack looks like, well the gray cat we have

and then the other cat never really "stays in one place" so that's never an issue really

food

yesterday i took down a tree in our yard which was planted too close and getting too big next to the house. i feel like i'm about ready to complete whatever entails suburban not-a-hipster hipster bingo

if you've ever liked any of the music i've posted or linked or recommended, please check out macseal's new single

but if you want to see news, updates from this or that, or just be reminded of links you've seen, it's super helpful. check it out

it's a very nice tool and you are meant to spend "no more than 2 minutes a day" using it. it's not for use on a phone, it's desktop/laptop-focused. you are responsible for transferring and migrating your own data through its export tool. there are no accounts, you can just paste in the raw data as it's exported and keep your stuff current so that it's synced. (I'm sure you could probably have some kind of job do this too.)

hey, i wasn't sure if people here were aware of this, but @coffeentacos shared with me this website:

hardlyeverything.com

it is a website where you tell it which sites you would like to get reminders for, and how frequently (in # of days). for example, i receive a reminder from it (by going to it) to open lazer pizza every day, which can range from me checking it for 5 minutes to leaving it open. but it might help you cut down on "hanging out online" which is something i've stopped much of.

I'm pleased to announce the v1.0.0 release of Hometown, my Mastodon fork! It's up to date with Mastodon v2.9.3, and unique features include:

- Local only posting
- Full support for rendering incoming `Article` posts from federated blogs like Write. As
- "Exclusive" lists that let you follow someone without clogging up your home timeline

For more info, including rationale for each new feature, check out our wiki:

github.com/hometown-fork/homet

And the release itself is here:

alright don't tell anyone but here's a preview (demo) of the metal group i joined. i turned my drums up because this is massively unmixed, and it was the only way to hear them through the whole thing. drums have not been edited much other than a couple compressors and EQs, and you can tell lmao

please enjoy

regardless of how i feel about bernie sanders, i unironically would choose to buy a belt sander from a company called Bernie who made sanders and sanding-related equipment solely because i could say i bought a Bernie sander

i've stopped looking at the fedi timeline as much simply because i can't see three posts without seeing the word 'piss'

and thanks to @mastohost for keeping us running with that good-good for as long!

tfw you realize your instance is almost a year old

happy fediversary (soon) everyone

a sure sign that i'm getting older is just the nature of getting hungry for lunch at increasingly ridiculous hours

i'm expecting to see an amazon box full of bulletproof coffee in the coming week

lmao someone in my office just started a keto diet, and a minute after i called it, i heard them talking about how you can eat all the burgers you want
